Come Join Us in Celebration
September 16, 2017 – 18th Annual Pagan Pride Day
Follow our Facebook Event Page for festival announcements.
2017 PPD design by Jesseca Trainham. You can purchase a t-shirt or hoodie at the event!
The 18th annual Pagan Pride Day celebration will be held once again at Long Branch Park in Onondaga County.
The Central New York Pagan Pride Project’s Autumn Equinox Festival is the local observance of Pagan Pride Day for Syracuse, NY and the surrounding area.
The Pagan Pride Project is organized around three goals:
- Public ritual:
A public gathering where Pagans can network with each other and celebrate an Autumn Equinox ritual.
- Food drive:
A food drive (or other charitable activity) to share our abundant harvest with others in need, and to make a clear statement to those who have misconceptions about Paganism. We know that our ethics, based on concern for ecology, personal responsibility, and individual freedom, mean that we feel strongly called to actions of social responsibility. It is important for us to highlight our similarity to other religions in that regard.
- Press releases:
Press releases and media coverage of our events in order to present the truth about Paganism to our communities, refute common misconceptions, and draw political attention to Paganism in order to try to prevent legislative discrimination against Pagans.
Admission is Free!
We do, however, request your donation of a non-perishable food item, which in turn will be donated to The Food Bank of Central New York.

Integrating a Yoga Practice into your Spirituality Yoga is so much more than poses for the thin and flexible. Come and explore the many ways both traditional and modern yogic practices can benefit the physical person and integrate with our spiritual practices. Learn about adaptive and therapeutic yoga postures, become more physically mindful with attention to the breath, and find how yoga is accessible to people of all ability levels. A physical yoga practice and literally become “prayer performed by the body.” Beyond the yoga postures learn about yogic life practices, energy working and meditation techniques.
Havenne is an Earth Witch and diviner who enjoys an association with a couple of Central New York pagan groups, including Reclaiming the Radiant Wild. Also known as Laurel Flynn, Havenne holds her Yoga Alliance 200 RYT certificate, specializing in adaptive and therapeutic yoga while personally practicing the limbs and performing dynamic flow yoga. Intro To old World Granny Magick Back by popular demand! When the self sufficient, pragmatic people from the mountains of Scotland, Ireland and Wales began immigrating to America in the 1700’s, their healers, prophets and spiritual intermediaries were called Wise Women, Granny Women and Granny Witches. Grannies were responsible for the physical and spiritual health of their clans. Relying heavily on common sense and herbal medicine, they prayed & chanted, made lotions and potions, charms and spells, birthed, healed and buried their people. With dice and playing cards they divined the future and the hidden truth of personal and clan matters. They left offerings for the spirits of the land. Over the centuries, the wisdom and work of the Grannies has passed from woman to woman; and today, they continue to offer advice, healing and all manner of service as needed. Granny’s magic is a practical practice, neither good nor bad, for she does what is necessary for the good of her people and assumes personal responsibility for the consequences of her actions. Sandy Caswell’s study (and practice) of magick and metaphysics has been an ongoing and diverse 50 year journey. She is a graduate of the State University of New York and the One Voice School of Interfaith Ministry is a legally ordained Minister, a thrice ordained Priestess; and has been adopted into a clan of Welsh Wise Women. In 1999, Sandy incorporated Willow Grove, The First Pagan Church of Rochester (NY) and they hosted the first Pagan Pride Celebration ever held in New York State. Sandy lives on the road, (look for her BIG YELLOW TRUCK on site) offering readings and services, privately, at home parties, in academic and corporate settings; she teaches exciting, empowering classes and has just written her first book THE VILLAGE WITCH.
