Ashagal Returns to Pagan Pride Day!

July 27, 2015 by James Delles

Ashagal (As-Hagal) evokes dark faerie tales and mist filled forests.  The name is derived from two runic letters of the old Norse alphabet.  The symbols As and Hagal are associated with Song, Language, History, Birth and Transformation.  Grown from an interest in history and myth –  Ashagal draws musical influence from traditional sources as well as Europe’s “Tribal Folk” scene

Ancient sounding instruments blend with earthy vocals to bring to life original lyrics and old world tales in a variety of languages.   An aural tapestry described as folk and neo-medieval wrap the listener in a rich fabric of history and mythic cycles.
