Autumn Equinox Festival
Pagan Pride Day

It is with deepest regrets to announce that the CNY Pagan Pride Day committee has decided not to hold an in-person 2021 Pagan Pride Day festival. We feel that it is in the best interests of the community to postpone until 2022.

While a large percentage of the population may be vaccinated prior to the annual September event, we have no way to know who is and who isn’t – so an event of this size will require continued masking and social distancing protocols. While we expect that the vast majority of us can and would follow the rules, our volunteer staff cannot police those rules effectively for an event of this size – PPD regularly draws 1500-2000 attendees. Furthermore, there isn’t enough official guidance, and we don’t know when that will be forthcoming. While a gathering of this size may be permitted by September, it is unfair to our vendors, performers, presenters, and attendees to wait and make a last-minute decision.

We do not like cancelling CNY PPD! Please respect our decision as we feel it is the safest action for both us and the community. We plan to hold an in-person PPD in 2022 and hope to see you there.

about us

Central New York's local observance of Pagan Pride Day.

Our festival has many interlinking goals and purposes. We try to keep our purpose balanced through the inspirations of the elements:

Air Symbol

Air : Education

We are not going to be able to practice our spiritual paths openly if we do not give the public accurate information about what we practice.

Fire Symbol

Fire : Activism

We have to have the courage to act on our convictions and do what we need to do.

Water : Charity

What we do returns to us. We need to demonstrate this by offering compassion to our communities where it is needed.

Earth Symbol

Earth : Community

We need to weave networking webs in our cities, towns and rural areas of support for one another.

CNY Pagan pride is a proud supporter of:

Working to eliminate hunger through nutritious food distribution, education and advocacy in cooperation with the community.
